2. What is "personal data"?
Personal data is information about you that allows conclusions to be drawn about your identity, e.g., your name, address, or telephone number. Information that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about a specific or identifiable person is not included.
3. Scope of data collection, processing, and use
You can visit our website and access all content without us collecting personal data from you or you having to provide personal data.
a) Server log files
When you visit our website for informational purposes only, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security:

- Time of server request (timestamp)
The data is stored by our provider for a maximum of 3 days and then automatically deleted.

Under the menu item "Careers at Freiberger," you have the opportunity to apply for specific job openings at the Freiberger Group or to send us a speculative application. Further information on the processing of your application data can be found in the respective application form.
e) Location map - Google Maps
A map showing our locations is displayed on the home page. The map is provided by "Google Maps," a service of Google Inc., USA. We do not collect any data via the map. The scope of possible data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy, which you can find at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
f) Links to social media
On our website, you will find buttons that you can click to be redirected to our social media accounts, e.g., on LinkedIn® and Instagram®. There, personal data may be collected and further processed by the respective service operators. Please refer to their privacy policies for more information.
4. Purpose of processing and legal basis
We process personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
- To fulfill contractual obligations (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) Data
is processed for the purpose of providing our contractual services or for carrying out pre-contractual measures that are carried out on request. - Within the scope of balancing interests (Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR)
Beyond the use for the actual fulfillment of the contract, it may be necessary to process your data to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties, e.g., to ensure the IT security of our system. - Based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR) We require your
consent for certain purposes. Processing will only take place if you have expressly given your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to receipt of the revocation. - § 26 BDSG We process
data that you provide to us in the context of an online application in accordance with § 26 BDSG in the context of deciding whether to establish an employment relationship.
5. Recipients of the data
We work with third parties who process data on our behalf within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. Otherwise, we will only pass on your personal data to third parties if we have informed you of this in advance in individual cases and obtained your consent.
6. Transfer of data to a third country
We only transfer data to recipients based outside the EU and the EEA with your consent or to the extent permitted by Art. 44 ff. GDPR.
7. Duration of storage
We delete email inquiries as soon as we have answered the inquiry and the reason for the inquiry has been dealt with.
If you send us data that is necessary for the fulfillment of contractual and legal obligations, we will only store it until the obligations have been fulfilled.
If the data is no longer required for this purpose, it will be deleted regularly. Data will not be deleted if
- commercial and tax law retention obligations,
- data must be retained as evidence of claims arising from a contractual relationship within the scope of the regular limitation period (3 years, § 195 BGB).
8. Security of your data
We take all appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of your data. To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS.
9. Your data protection rights
As a "data subject," you have the right to information under Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR, and the right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR. The restrictions under Sections 34 and 35 BDSG apply to the right to information and the right to erasure. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG).
Right to object, Art. 21 GDPR
If we process your data to protect legitimate interests (see above), you may object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. If personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing.
10. Obligation to provide data
You are neither legally nor contractually obliged to provide us with data when visiting our website. However, in order to use our services, it is necessary that you provide us with the data required to perform the respective service. For example, it is not possible to process your enquiry without sending us your contact details, or to process your application without sending us your application data.
11. Automated decision-making and profiling
Automated decision-making and/or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 (1) and (4) GDPR does not take place.
